A rich fusion of indigenous, African and Spanish cuisine
The Central America offers a culinary scene inspired by three great cultures, that benefits from the diverse topography and climate, where amazing fresh and unique ingredients can be found and fused into incredible dishes. The staple of rice and beans can be found across Central America but be ready to try some local dishes in each country. Belize is ready with its famous BBQ meat or with an amazing sopa de caracol (escargot soup), while in Nicaragua try gallo pinto, quesillo and sopa de mondongo. Not far away in Honduras, seafood is the dish and in Guatemala try plátanos or frijoles con chicharron. Plus, be sure to have a beautiful cup of coffee during your travels. Central America is know for some of the best coffees in the world.
